Antibes or bust
Today we got up in Nice, went for petit dejeuner in the Brioche Doree cafe (just about one up from a Greggs) and we then got on an SNCF train from Nice to Antibes. When we got there we found a really rustic farmers’ market in the town centre and bought some very fresh raspberries and apricots. After scoffing them we went to a Lebanese restaurant where Kelly had a Falafel flatbread and I had a chicken schwarma kebab. We went in the very cool cathedral, and Kelly lit a candle for her departed Gran, Gladys and others. Mabel, Kelly and I then went and sat on the sandy beach for two hours. Mabel loved the sea with her Peppa Pig armbands. We got a crepe on the way back to the train. On the train an American couple told me and Kelly to shut up using interesting handbag gestures. Kelly took the piss out of them for the rest of the journey. Once home and showered we ventured back out for a pizza in the Flower Market, and watched Brazilian Caipoeira street dancers jumping fire. Grear day today, Cannes awaits tomorrow…
