It’s been busy

A busy weekend was had by yours truly playing at the Hope and Anchor in Ulverston on Thursday 5th July. I stopped off at the local Booths supermarket to work on my accounts where I was mistaken for a store manager by a delivery driver – the old rock and roll charm wearing off perhaps? Friday the 5th saw me play Chewies Bar in Barnoldswick which by the way, is seeking other artists for solo shows. One of the bar staff, Sophie, supported me at the last moment and sounded very good like early Tracy Thorn from A Distant Shore era.

Saturday saw the mighty Kar-Pets play with rock royalty such as Peter Hook and The Light Echo and The Bunnymen, Embrace, The Farm and The Stranglers. I caught up with such dignitaries as Will Sergeant , Peter Hook, Carl and Keith from the Farm and Jon Robb – a great show.

Don’t forget the Kar-Pets four Scottish shows coming up:

July 26 Butefest at the Isle of Bute
August 3 Vortex Room, Bar Yellow, Cumbernauld
August 4th Gig in the Carpark, Greenside Hotel, Leslie Fife
September 28 Glasgow Garage with Resurrection, a  Stone Roses tribute

You can find all my upcoming gigs, both solo and with The Kar-Pets on the gig section of the website.
